Regular Season Round 12: KoGas - Goyang Orions 88-79

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Inchon where one of their biggest challengers Goyang Orions (8-7) were defeated by fifth ranked KoGas (8-7) 88-79 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 21 rebounds and international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) who added 23 points and 7 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Ole Miss) with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international forward Dae-Sung Lee (192-90, college: BYU-Hawaii) scored 20 points. Four Goyang Orions players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. KoGas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with defeated Goyang Orions. Goyang Orions lost third consecutive game. KoGas will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Goyang Orions will play against Mobis Phoebus (#7) and hope to secure a win.
