Regular Season Round 12: Saga B. - Kumamoto V. 73-107

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Saga B. (5-8) was rolled over at home by third ranked Kumamoto V. (7-6) 107-73 on Saturday. Kumamoto V. shot 64.2 percent from the field. They also forced 19 Saga B. turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Kumamoto V. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by Saga B.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) and guard Takaaki Kida (186-95) who added 21 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was American center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) scored 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kumamoto V. maintains third position with 7-6 record having four points less than leader Kagawa FA. Saga B. lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Kumamoto V. will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Saga B. will play again against Kumamoto V. (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
