Regular Season Round 12: Aomori W. - FE Nagoya 64-101

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Aomori W. (1-12) was crushed at home by first ranked FE Nagoya (11-2) 101-64 on Saturday. FE Nagoya dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Aomori W.'s 40. They outrebounded Aomori W. 36-19 including 26 on the defensive glass. FE Nagoya looked well-organized offensively handing out 36 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Aomori W.'s players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jeremy Jones (201-96, college: Gonzaga) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import center Brian Qvale (208-88, college: Montana) who added 20 points and 8 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) during the contest. Five FE Nagoya players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian center Renaldo Dixon (206-90, college: NM State) with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Hayate Komasawa (188-98) scored 15 points and 6 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. FE Nagoya maintains first position with 11-2 record. Aomori W. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with 12 games lost. FE Nagoya will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aomori W. will play again against the league's leader FE Nagoya (#1) and hope to win that game.
