Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Doha: Al Shamal and Al Rayyan. Al Shamal crushed visiting Al Rayyan by 20 points 98-78. They outrebounded Al Rayyan 78-38 including a 30-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Al Shamal players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Serbian-Montenegrin forward Milko Bjelica (207-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 22 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Willie Warren (193-89, college: Oklahoma, agency: Interperformances) chipped in 28 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Al Shamal players scored in double figures. At the losing side DR Congolese-Canadian guard Myck Kabongo (190-92, college: Texas) responded with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and American Tavarion Nix (201-92, college: Midwestern St.) produced a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
