Regular Season Round 11: Toyoda - Saitama 71-103

Very predictable result in Aichi where fifth ranked Saitama (8-4) outscored 14th ranked Toyoda (1-11) 103-71 on Saturday. Saitama looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. It was a great evening for center Will Creekmore (205-89, college: Missouri St.) who led his team to a victory with a triple-double by scoring 17 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Power forward Ryan Watkins (206-91, college: Boise St.) helped adding 22 points and 11 rebounds. Four Saitama players scored in double figures. Center CJ Gettys (213-94, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 15 rebounds and power forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: NKU, agency: BIG) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Saitama maintains fifth place with 8-4 record. Toyoda lost their eleventh game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with 11 games lost. Saitama will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Toyoda will play again against Saitama (#5) and hope to win that game.
