Very important is a road loss of third ranked Fukuoka R. (5-6) against fourth ranked Kumamoto V. (6-5) on Wednesday night. Visiting Fukuoka R. was defeated by Kumamoto V. in Kumamoto 102-84. Kumamoto V. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Fukuoka R.'s 34. They outrebounded Fukuoka R. 39-24 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) who scored 52 points (!!!). British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: WKU) chipped in 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. American guard Stedmon Lemon (198-92, college: JCSU) produced 19 points and 5 rebounds and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Fukuoka R. players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kumamoto V. moved-up to third place. Loser Fukuoka R. dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Kumamoto V. will meet Saga B. (#5) on the road in the next round. Fukuoka R. will have a break next round.
