Very important is a road loss of third ranked Foolad (2-3) against eighth ranked Exxon SC (2-4) on Monday night. Visiting Foolad was defeated by Exxon SC in a tough game in Teheran 62-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Foolad. Exxon SC forced 23 Foolad turnovers. Forward Amirhossein Rezaeifar (196-0) notched 9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American point guard Corin Henry (185-88, college: Tarleton St., agency: BIG) supported him with 15 points and 4 assists. Even 16 points and 5 steals by Payam Kiani did not help to save the game for Foolad. The former international guard Emad Salmani (188-90) added 10 points for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Exxon SC moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Foolad keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Raad and Kouchin. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
