Regular Season Round 8: Sanaye - Raad 68-64

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Raad (2-3) against eighth ranked Sanaye (1-3) on Sunday night. Visiting Raad was defeated by Sanaye in a tough game in Bandar Abbass 64-68. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Raad. They outrebounded Raad 58-35 including a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Sanaye brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Raad was plagued by 32 personal fouls down the stretch. Ukrainian center Kyrylo Fesenko (215-86, agency: BIG) had a double-double by scoring 14 points, 22 rebounds and 5 blocks to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Ali Jamshidi (196-85) chipped in 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Adnan Douraghi responded with 19 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Eshagh Hatamifar scored 10 points and 5 rebounds. Raad's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Sanaye left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Raad at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. They share it with Foolad and Kouchin. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
