Very predictable result in Sichuan where sixth ranked Aviators (8-2) smashed 19th ranked Blue Whales (1-9) 125-96 on Sunday. Aviators forced 22 Blue Whales turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aviators especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 39 assists. The best player for the winners was forward Zihan Wu (203-3) who scored 20 points and 6 assists. International Xining He (194-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Songwei Zhu (206-96) who recorded 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and Hanyi Jing (195-99) added 15 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Five Aviators and four Blue Whales players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aviators have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Blue Whales lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighteenth position with nine games lost. They share it with Nanjing TX MK. Aviators will meet Sturgeons (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Blue Whales will play against Sharks (#5) in Shanghai and hope to win that game.
