Regular Season Round 10: Niigata A. - Ryukyu GK 75-86

Leader Ryukyu GK delivered the eighth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 10th ranked Niigata A. (2-8) 86-75. Ryukyu GK looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis) had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import power forward Allen Durham (198-88, college: Grace Christian) chipped in 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Durham is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side Hungarian-American Rosco Allen (208-93, college: Stanford, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (made all of his eight free throws) and South African center Tshilidzi Nephawe (208-89, college: NM State) scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Ryukyu GK have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 8-2 record, which they share with Sea Horses M. Niigata A. lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Kyoto H.. Ryukyu GK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Niigata A. will play again against the league's second-placed Ryukyu GK (#2) and hope to secure a win.
