No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Anyang KGC (6-5) beat at home 8th ranked Samsung Th. (4-8) 79-75 on Saturday. Anyang KGC made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) nailed a double-double by scoring 30 points and 18 rebounds for the winning side and international guard Seonghyen Jeon (190-91) accounted for 20 points. Four Anyang KGC players scored in double figures. American center Isaiah Hicks (206-94, college: UNC) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and the former international point guard Si-Rae Kim (179-89) added 15 points and 7 assists respectively for Samsung Th. in the defeat. Samsung Th.'s coach Sang-Min Lee tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place. Samsung Th. lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with eight games lost. Anyang KGC will meet Mobis Phoebus (#8) in the next round. Samsung Th.'s supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Seoul SK Knights.
