Regular Season Round 4: Eneos S. - Haneda V. 77-61

Very expected game when bottom-ranked Haneda V. (0-4) lost to top-ranked Eneos S. (4-0) in Kashiwa 61-77 on Sunday. Eneos S. dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Haneda V.'s 22. They outrebounded Haneda V. 40-18 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-91) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and the former international Saori Miyazaki (167-95) supported her with 12 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. Four Eneos S. players scored in double figures. Even 13 points (made all of her nine free throws !!!) by Yukino Awatsu (180-98) did not help to save the game for Haneda V.. Swingman Mina Ogasawara (178-97) added 10 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Eneos S. have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Haneda V. still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Eneos S. will meet at home Chanson V-M (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Haneda V. will play against Toyota A. in Nagoya and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
