Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ducks (5-2) against eighth ranked Sharks (5-2) on Sunday night. Visiting Ducks were crushed by Sharks in Shanghai 105-86. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Ducks. Sharks made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Ducks 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: SDSU, agency: Slash Sports) who scored that evening 33 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international center Zhelin Wang (213-94) supported him with 25 points and 16 rebounds. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) by the former international center Ziming Fan (211-98) did not help to save the game for Ducks. The former international Xiaochuan Zhai (204-93) added 15 points and 7 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sharks have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Ducks. Sharks will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Ducks will play against Aviators (#7) and hope to secure a win.
