Regular Season Round 4: Sting Rays - SWU 82-71

There was no surprise when 9th ranked SWU (1-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Sting Rays (3-2) 82-71 on Saturday. Sting Rays forced 21 SWU turnovers and had a 33-22 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Jittaphon Towaroj (186-91) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and the former international forward Chanachon Klahan (189-84) who added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side international center Afnan Charansarn (188-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Noppachai Thongpool (190) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Sting Rays and four SWU players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Sting Rays moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Dunkin' Raptors. SWU lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. They share it with Mad Goat. Sting Rays will meet Shoot it Dragon (#6) in the next round. SWU will play against T-REX and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
