Regular Season Round 7: KCC Egis - KT Sonicboom 74-96

Everything went according to plan in Jeonju where third ranked KT Sonicboom (6-3) outscored 7th ranked KCC Egis (4-5) 96-74 on Saturday. KT Sonicboom dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to KCC Egis' 28. They outrebounded KCC Egis 44-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. KT Sonicboom looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-92, college: UMass, agency: BeoBasket) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Hongseok Yang (199-97) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. The former international forward Ricardo Ratliffe (203-89, college: Missouri) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the former international forward Jung-Hyun Lee (191-87) added 17 points respectively for lost side. Five KT Sonicboom and four KCC Egis players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KT Sonicboom moved-up to second place, which they share with Goyang Orions. Loser KCC Egis dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. KT Sonicboom will meet league's leader SK Knights in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KCC Egis will play against LG Sakers (#10) and hope to secure a win.
