Regular Season Round 7: Aisin AW - Shinagawa 87-47

Aisin AW's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Shinagawa (2-5) 87-47. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Shinagawa's 24. Aisin AW forced 23 Shinagawa turnovers. It was a great evening for American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). His fellow American import center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) helped adding 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). At the losing side forward Abu Philip (198-97) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Alex Floresca (203-96, college: San Diego) scored 6 points and 10 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aisin AW (1-4) left bottom position moving up to eleventh place. Newly promoted Shinagawa keeps the tenth position with five games lost. Aisin AW will again play against higher ranked Shinagawa (#10) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Shinagawa will have a break next round.
