Regular Season Round 5: Mobis Phoebus - Goyang Orions 67-95

Very expected game in Ulsan where 9th ranked Mobis Phoebus (1-5) were rolled over by fourth ranked Goyang Orions (4-2) 95-67 on Saturday. Goyang Orions dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Mobis Phoebus' 46. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The former international center Jonghyun Lee (206-94) stepped up and scored 17 points and 6 assists for the winners and American forward Murphy Holloway (201-90, college: Ole Miss) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Goyang Orions players scored in double figures. American point guard Rashon Thomas (183, college: TAMUK) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import Earl Clark (208-88, college: Louisville, agency: BeoBasket) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Goyang Orions moved-up to second place, which they share with SK Knights and KT Sonicboom. Mobis Phoebus lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. They share it with LG Sakers. Goyang Orions will meet LG Sakers (#9) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mobis Phoebus will play against KT Sonicboom in Busan and hope to win that game.
