Regular Season Round 7: Kagoshima - Iwate 80-90

B3 League top team - Iwate (8-0) managed to deliver another win on Thursday. This time they beat fifth ranked Kagoshima (4-4) in Renova 90-80. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Kagoshima. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kagoshima's 36. They outrebounded Kagoshima 41-21 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American players dominated the game. It was a quality performance for Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 40 points (!!!) and 13 rebounds. Forward Terrance King (198-90, college: ESU) accounted for 22 points and 13 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Christian Cunningham (201-97, college: JSU) came up with 19 points and swingman Anthony Gaines Jr (195-93, college: Louisiana Coll.) added 17 points respectively for Kagoshima in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Iwate have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Kagoshima dropped to the eighth position with four games lost.
