Regular Season Round 4: KoGas - LG Sakers 73-92
Date: October 20, 2021
LG Sakers has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Inchon, where they outplayed KoGas (3-3) 92-73. The winners were led by Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: MSU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 16 points and 16 rebounds and Filipino guard Kwan-Hee Lee (190-88) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Five LG Sakers players scored in double figures. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by the former international guard Kyungmin Doo (184-91) did not help to save the game for KoGas. The former international Hyunwoo Jeon (191-96) added 20 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. LG Sakers (1-4) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. KoGas at the other side keep the sixth position with three games lost. LG Sakers will play against higher ranked Anyang KGC (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. KoGas will play against Samsung Th. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
