Undefeated leader Iwate delivered the sixth consecutive win on Sunday night. This time they crushed 10th ranked Yamaguchi (1-5) 90-57. Iwate dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Yamaguchi's 38. They outrebounded Yamaguchi 47-27 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. The other American import forward Terrance King (198-90, college: ESU) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and forward Shin Nobuhara (191-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Iwate (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with a perfect record of 6 victories in a row, which they share with Nagasaki. Yamaguchi lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eleventh place with five games lost. They share the position with Toyoda.
