Regular Season Round 5: Kanazawa - Shinagawa 75-77

Shinagawa has registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Ishikawa, where they edged Kanazawa (0-3) 77-75. Shinagawa dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Kanazawa's 34. nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Kunitatsu Ogata (179-97) accounted for 18 points and 8 rebounds. Serbian forward Dusan Vicentic (204-97, college: WVWC) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and power forward Blake Aoki (202-93) added 11 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Kanazawa in the defeat. Four Kanazawa players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Shinagawa (1-4) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Toyoda and Yamaguchi. It was Kanazawa's third loss in a row. They still close the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Aisin AW. Shinagawa will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kanazawa will play again at home against Shinagawa (#11) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
