Regular Season Round 4: Kumamoto V. - Koshigaya A. 72-80

The most surprising game was the first loss of Kumamoto V. (3-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by sixth ranked Koshigaya A. (1-3) 80-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Kumamoto V.. Koshigaya A. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). The other American import Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with 19 points and 7 assists for the winners. American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) replied with 25 points and 5 rebounds and British forward Benjamin Lawson (216-95, college: WKU) added 13 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks in the effort for Kumamoto V.Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Koshigaya A. left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with Ehime OV and Bambitious N. Kumamoto V. at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with FE Nagoya and Fukuoka R.. Koshigaya A. is looking forward to face league's leader Kagawa FA in Takamatsu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Kumamoto V. will play at home against Saga B. and is hoping to win this game.
