Regular Season Round 1: KoGas - Anyang KGC 88-73

The most important game of round 1 took place in Inchon where KoGas beat Anyang KGC 88-73 on Sunday night. They outrebounded Anyang KGC 43-30 including 32 on the defensive glass. Canadian Andrew Nicholson (206-89, college: St.Bonaventure) stepped up and scored 29 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and international guard Nakhyeon Kim (180-95) chipped in 17 points and 7 assists. At the losing side American Omari Spellman (207-97, college: Villanova) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and the former international forward Seonggon Moon (193-93) scored 13 points. Four Anyang KGC players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Anyang KGC will play next round against strong Goyang Orions trying to make it back to the top of the standings. KoGas will try to continue on its current victory against KT Sonicboom in Busan.
