Regular Season Round 4: Shiga L-Stars - Ibaraki R. 85-77

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Shiga L-Stars (3-1) beat at home bottom-ranked Ibaraki R. (0-4) 85-77 on Sunday. Shiga L-Stars looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Sean OMara (208-95, college: Xavier, agency: Inception Sports) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Novar Gadson (201-89, college: Rider) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Eric Jacobsen (208-94, college: Arizona St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Atsunobu Hirao (178-89) scored 17 points and 6 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shiga L-Stars keep a position of league leader, which they share with 7 other teams. Newly promoted Ibaraki R. still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Toyama G. and Hokkaido L.. Shiga L-Stars will meet Kyoto H. (#6) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Ibaraki R. will play against Tochigi Brex (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
