Yamagata smashed Tokyo Z at home 81-51. Yamagata dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Z's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Tokyo Z's players. The best player for the winners was American center Kenny Lawson (207-88, college: Creighton) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). His fellow American import forward Jawad Williams (204-83, college: UNC) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tsubasa Kurihara (180-97) who recorded 11 points and 5 assists and American forward Pat Andree (203-97, college: NC State) added 14 points respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo Z will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Yamagata will try to continue on its current victory against Tokyo Z at home.
