Regular Season Round 3: Kumamoto V. - Koshigaya A. 92-86

There was no surprise when Koshigaya A. (0-3) was defeated on the road by Kumamoto V. (3-0) 92-86 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Kumamoto V. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a great evening for point guard Takumi Furuno (179-93) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American swingman LJ Peak (196-96, college: Georgetown, agency: Pensack Sports) helped adding 18 points and 6 rebounds. Five Kumamoto V. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Shunki Hatakeyama (170-91) scored 18 points. Koshigaya A.'s coach Sho Higashijima rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Kumamoto V. will again meet at home Koshigaya A. (#6) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Koshigaya A. will have a break next round.
