Regular Season Round 3: Aisin AW - Iwate 59-69

No shocking result in a game in Aichi where Iwate (3-0) defeated Aisin AW (0-1) 69-59 on Saturday. It was a great evening for American Kyle Richardson (200-91, college: Portland St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds. Point guard Toshiki Yokogawa (177-95) helped adding 13 points and 7 assists. Iwate's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) with 19 points and 5 assists and the other American import center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) scored 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Iwate will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aisin AW will play again against Iwate (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
