The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Al Ittihad in Jeddah on Friday night. Hosts were defeated by Al Wehda 78-60. Al Wehda dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Al Ittihad's 26. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The former international Mathna Almarwani (186-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and American DaJuan Summers (203-88, college: Georgetown, agency: BIG) added 13 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Al Ittihad. Al Ittihad's coach Mohamed Kardani rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Al Wehda is looking forward to face Al Nasr in Riyadh in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Al Ittihad will play on the road against Al Fateh in Al Hasa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
