Regular Season Round 2: Yamaguchi - Toyoda 95-85

The most surprising game was a loss of Toyoda on the court of Yamaguchi on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Yamaguchi 95-85. 25 personal fouls committed by Toyoda helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Americans were the main players on the court. Center Nicholas Evans (210-88, college: S.Indiana) had a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Robert Sampson (203-92, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Sampson is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center CJ Gettys (213-94, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and power forward Jalen Billups (200-92, college: NKU, agency: BIG) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. Four Yamaguchi and five Toyoda players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Yamaguchi is looking forward to face Tokyo HT on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toyoda will play against Kagoshima and is hoping to win this game.
