Quarter-Finals Round 1: Saigon H. - Can Tho CF 104-82

Saigon Heat rallied past Can Tho Catfish in the opener. Heat had a 39-27 advantage in offensive rebounds. American forward Joshua Keyes (201-95, college: Muskingum, agency: PBAplayers Agency) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals for the winners and his fellow American import point guard DaQuan Bracey (180-97, college: Louisiana Tech, agency: Green Sports Management) chipped in 18 points and 4 assists. Keyes is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Heat players scored in double figures. Heat's coach Matthew Van Pelt felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American forward Jared Sam (207-95, college: Southern, agency: DC Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and swingman Vinh Nguyen Van (184-0) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds.
