Regular Season Round 16: Al Riyadi - Atlas 83-62

An interesting game for Al Riyadi (11-1) which hosted in Beirut 3rd ranked Atlas (7-4). First ranked Al Riyadi had an easy win 83-62. Al Riyadi forced 21 Atlas turnovers and outrebounded them 43-25 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international guard Amir Saoud (186-91) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists. The former international swingman Jean Abdel Nour (198-83) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Al Riyadi's coach George Geagea felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Marc Abi Kheres (197-94) replied with 20 points and 6 rebounds and Mohamad Kreidly added 18 points in the effort for Atlas. Al Riyadi have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 11-1 record. Atlas at the other side keep the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Champville and Hoops.
