Regular Season Round 15: Byblos - Beirut Club 66-83

The game in Byblos was quite interesting. Third ranked Beirut Club (8-4) played at the court of 7th ranked Byblos (5-7). Beirut Club did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 83-66 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Byblos. It was a great shooting night for Beirut Club especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Patrick Bou Abboud (199-87) who scored 21 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international point guard Rodrigue Akl (187-88) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 14 assists and 4 steals. Four Beirut Club players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Ziad El Ali who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds and Mohamad Skaf added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Beirut Club have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Byblos at the other side keep the seventh position with seven games lost.
