The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Iwate's (22-12) road loss to fourth ranked Aisin AW (26-6) 67-81 on Sunday. Aisin AW dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Iwate's 24. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Aisin AW's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) produced a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds and Senegalese forward Bamba Diouf (198-93) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Aisin AW have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. Loser Iwate keeps the fifth position with 12 games lost. Aisin AW will face Kanazawa (#9) in Ishikawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Iwate will play on the road against Kagoshima (#10) in Renova and hope to win that game.
