The game between closely ranked teams ended with second ranked Taiyuan Textile's (8-4) victory over one of their biggest challengers Chunghwa Telecom (3-9) 81-51 on Wednesday. Taiyuan Textile dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Chunghwa Telecom's 24. Taiyuan Textile looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for forward Pei-Zhen Luo (175-98) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Forward Xin-Lian Feng (180-93) contributed with 9 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Taiyuan Textile players scored in double figures. Swingman Yushu Lin (168-96) replied with 12 points and 5 assists and point guard Yu-Ting Huang (160-94) added 9 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Chunghwa Telecom. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Taiyuan Textile maintains second position with 8-4 record having four points less than leader Cathay Life. Chunghwa Telecom lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with nine games lost.
