Ibaraki Robots defeated Saga to sweep the series. Ibaraki R. dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Saga B.'s 32. They outrebounded Saga B. 45-30 including 30 on the defensive glass. Ibaraki R. looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) notched a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the effort and American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) supported him with 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Ibaraki R. players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 9 rebounds by Argentinian Marcos Mata (200-86) did not help to save the game for Saga B.. Cuban guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90) added 15 points and 4 assists for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
