Regular Season Round 62: Ryukyu GK - Kyoto H. 70-72

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Ryukyu GK (40-17) in Okinawa on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by eighth ranked Kyoto H. (21-36) 72-70. Kyoto H. made 17-of-20 free shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Center David Simon (208-82, college: PFW) had a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Justin Harper (208-89, college: Richmond) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Forward Dwayne Evans (201-92, college: St.Louis, agency: Wasserman) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Kyoto H. maintains eighth position with 21-36 record. Ryukyu GK at the other side still keeps top place with 17 games lost.
