Regular Season Round 59: Osaka E. - Yokohama BC 91-85

Very expected game when 8th ranked Yokohama BC (18-40) was defeated on the road by second ranked Osaka E. (32-19) 91-85 on Wednesday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. It was a great evening for American guard DJ Newbill (193-92, college: Penn St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) helped adding 23 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Robert Carter (206-94, college: Maryland) responded with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized American guard Aki Chambers (190-90, college: UC Merced) scored 18 points. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures. Yokohama BC's coach Kyle Milling rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Osaka E.. They maintain second place with 32-19 record having nine points less than leader Tochigi B. Loser Yokohama BC keeps the eighth position with 40 games lost. Osaka E. will face Shiga L-Stars (#6) at home in the next round.
