Regular Season Round 59: Koshigaya A. - Ibaraki R. 105-103

Important game to mention about took place in Tokyo. Third ranked Koshigaya A. (35-20) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-ranked Ibaraki R. (38-15) 105-103 on Saturday evening. Koshigaya A. players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. Ibaraki R. was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 32 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import center Isaac Butts (208-89, college: App State) helped adding 22 points and 18 rebounds. American forward Chehales Tapscott (195-90, college: Portland St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists and Canadian-Italian power forward Marc Trasolini (206-90, college: Santa Clara) scored 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Koshigaya A. maintains third place with 35-20 record having six points less than leader Gunma. Ibaraki R. at the other side keeps the second position with 15 games lost. Koshigaya A. will again play against league's second-placed Ibaraki R. in Mito in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ibaraki R. will have a break next round.
