Regular Season Round 10: Beirut Club - Hoops 72-61

Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Beirut: Beirut Club (#6) and Hoops (#5). Beirut Club (4-3) won against visiting Hoops (4-3) 72-61. Beirut Club made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Beirut Club outrebounded Hoops 45-29 including a 36-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Hoops were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international forward Patrick Bou Abboud (199-87) had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Marwan Ziadeh (202-87) chipped in 10 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side naturalized French guard Gabriel Salibi (203, college: Northeastern St., agency: BIG) responded with 11 points and 4 steals and the former international swingman Khalil Aoun (195-90, agency: BIG) scored 6 points and 9 rebounds. Hoops' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Beirut Club moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Hoops.
