Very important is a loss of second ranked Yulon Luxgen (24-15) against fifth ranked Pauian (12-26) on Saturday night. Yulon Luxgen was defeated by Pauian 85-74. They outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 46-27 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pauian looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The winners were led by center Dan Qiao (200-92) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 11 points, 24 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Jun-Xiang Lu (188-97) supported him with 25 points. Five Pauian players scored in double figures. Even 24 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) by forward Ba Ban (203-97) did not help to save the game for Yulon Luxgen. Forward Jia-Hong Weng (195-92) added 9 points and 4 assists for Pauian. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Pauian have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 12-26 record. Loser Yulon Luxgen keeps the second place with 15 games lost. Pauian will meet higher ranked Jutai Techn. (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Yulon Luxgen will play against Bank of Taiwan and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
