Regular Season Round 57: Nishinomiya S. - Fukuoka R. 112-79

B2 League top team - Nishinomiya S. (38-17) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed sixth ranked Rizing (22-31) in Hyogo 112-79. Nishinomiya S. shot 64.7 percent from the field and made 37-of-47 charity shots (78.7 percent) during the game, while Rizing only scored twenty points from the stripe. Nishinomiya S. forced 23 Rizing turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Nishinomiya S. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 64.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Rizing's players. 37 personal fouls committed by Rizing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for American forward Matt Bonds (196-95, college: St.Michael's, agency: Duran International) who led his team to a victory with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Point guard Noriaki Dohara (178-89) contributed with 22 points (perfect from the field making all six shots) for the winners. Four Nishinomiya S. players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Glynn (200-89, college: SF Austin) answered with 20 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and the other American import center Nigel Spikes (208-89, college: Marshall) added 15 points and 7 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Rizing. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Nishinomiya S.. They maintain first place with 38-17 record. Rizing lost their third game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 31 games lost. Nishinomiya S.'s next round opponent will be again Rizing (#6) in Fukuoka which should be theoretically another easy game.
