Another interesting game was a derby match between two teams from Beirut: Al Riyadi (#4) and Hoops (#2). Hoops were defeated at home 58-72 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It was a good game for swingman Mark Khoury (196-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds. Forward Hayk Gyokchyan (203-90, college: F&M, agency: BIG) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Four Al Riyadi players scored in double figures. Guard Georges Choueiry (184-95) replied with 21 points and 6 rebounds and international Habib Abdallah added 10 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Hoops. Defending champion (3-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Sagesse. Hoops at the other side dropped to the third place with two games lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
