The game in Nagano was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Shimane Magic (20-31) played at the court of 6th ranked Shinshu BW (19-31). Shimane Magic managed to secure a 9-point victory 71-62 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Shinshu BW. Shimane Magic made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. The game was also dominated by American players. Worth to mention a great performance of DeMon Brooks (202-92, college: Davidson) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds and forward Perrin Buford (198-94, college: MTSU, agency: Pensack Sports) who added 14 points and 18 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: WSU, agency: Wasserman) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Despite that victory Shimane Magic went down to sixth position due to points difference. Newly promoted Shinshu BW dropped to the fifth place with 31 games lost. Shimane Magic will meet higher ranked Diamond Dolphins (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Shinshu BW will play against Kyoto H. and hope to secure a win.
