Regular Season Round 55: Koshigaya A. - Tokyo Z 78-79

The most exciting game of round 55 in the B2 League took place in Tokyo. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of 3rd placed Koshigaya A. (33-18) to eighth ranked Tokyo Z (8-43) 79-78 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the home team. Tokyo Z forced 20 Koshigaya A. turnovers. It was a great evening for Nigerian-American center Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Takumi Masuko (186-91) helped adding 10 points and 10 assists. Four Tokyo Z players scored in double figures. Tokyo Z's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds. Tokyo Z moved-up to seventh place. Koshigaya A. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
