Regular Season Round 55: Fukushima - Gunma 81-91

B2 League top team - Gunma (47-3) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat fifth ranked Fukushima (24-27) 91-81. Gunma players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 25 personal fouls committed by Fukushima helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Naturalized American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Five Gunma players scored in double figures. American forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: CPP) answered with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and Finnish-American power forward Erik Murphy (208-90, college: Florida) added 8 points and 13 rebounds in the effort for Fukushima. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gunma have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 47-3 record. Fukushima at the other side dropped to the sixth position with 27 games lost. Gunma will have a break next round. Fukushima will play again at home against the league's leader Gunma (#1) and hope to win that game.
