Regular Season Round 55: Koshigaya A. - Tokyo Z 72-77

Another exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo Z (#8) and Koshigaya A. (#3). Koshigaya A. was defeated at home 72-77 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Tokyo Z looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Nigerian-American center Nnanna Egwu (211-92, college: Illinois) fired 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. The former international guard Yusuke Okada (185-84) chipped in 17 points. Tokyo Z's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American Craig Brackins (208-87, college: Iowa St., agency: SDJ Sports) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Tomoya Hasegawa (185-89) added 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Tokyo Z (8-43) moved-up to seventh place. Koshigaya A. lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the third position with 18 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
