Regular Season Round 13: Tokyo HT - Toyoda Gosei 81-74

We should mention about the upset which took place in Tokyo, where 6th ranked Toyoda Gosei (14-10) lost to ninth ranked Tokyo HT (5-15) in a road game 74-81 on Friday. Tokyo HT looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Power forward Blake Aoki (202-93) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Guard Hiroya Ogane (180-89) chipped in 17 points and 6 assists. American-Irish forward Brian Voelkel (196-92, college: Vermont) produced a double-double by scoring 25 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and American center CJ Gettys (213-94, college: Rutgers, agency: Haylett Sports) added 25 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tokyo HT maintains ninth place with 5-15 record. Loser Toyoda Gosei keeps the sixth position with ten games lost. Tokyo HT will face higher ranked Iwate (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
