Regular Season Round 18: Ghaz Al-Shamal - Al Naft 73-100

Superleague top team - Al Naft (13-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Ghaz Al-Shamal (2-10) in Kirku 100-73. The former international center Ihab Al-Zuhairi (209-98) notched 25 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international point guard Kevin Galloway (200-88, college: Texas Southern) supported him with 10 points and 9 assists. Four Al Naft players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even a double-double of 21 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists by Khalid Sultan did not help to save the game for Ghaz Al-Shamal. Rekan Abdulla added 26 points. Al Naft have an impressive 13-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 13-0 record. Ghaz Al-Shamal at the other side keeps the tenth place with ten games lost. Al Naft's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Baghdad Al Kahraba.
