Everything went according to plan when sixth ranked Shizuoka (13-7) outplayed at home bottom-ranked Saitama (1-18) 83-60. They outrebounded Saitama 43-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was naturalized American Luke Evans (203-91, college: CBU) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. Beninese power forward Muusa Dama (207-96, college: EIU, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Four Shizuoka players scored in double figures. Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Guard Tomoya Hata (188-96) produced 18 points and swingman Eric McArthur (192-96) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Shizuoka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Toyoda Gosei. Saitama lost their third game in a row. They stay dead last with 18 lost games.
