Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Tokyo HT (4-12) lost at home to second ranked Iwate (15-5) 66-50. Iwate players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Tokyo HT's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Chris Olivier (202-92, college: OK State) who scored 18 points. Canadian forward Erik Nissen (206-95, college: Acadia) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. American power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds and point guard Takehiro Yamaguchi (182-94) added 10 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Iwate. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Aisin AW and Okayama. Tokyo HT at the other side keeps the ninth place with 12 games lost. Iwate's next round opponent will be Shizuoka (#5) at home. Tokyo HT will play against Okayama (#3) and hope to win that game.
